Only in Las Vegas, Nevada, would you see a man’s privates in public before dinnertime, and if you did happen to see said man’s now public privates, there’s a good chance it would be on Tropicana Boulevard. A few weeks ago I was driving down Tropicana from the office of a service that offers “strippers to your room” when on the opposite side of the road, I saw a man in his fifties with only sweatpants on and his shirt laying on the ground. Reluctantly standing next to this guy was a man who picks up the trash for the Wild Wild West Casino and Truck Stop who was trying to do his job of emptying out the trash barrels along the road and parking lot of the property. He ...

The girl that’s about to get in my taxi is jumping around, full of energy and obviously happy just to be alive. I might even go so far as to say that she’s “buzzing with excitement.” …but only because she’s dressed like a bee. Her ladybug friend has on some kind of boy short/thong hybrid that exposes most of her butt and, much like a ladybug, is less frenetic. She makes sure her wings don’t get crunched in the door as she gets in the front seat. The guys with them have no costumes and, from what I can tell, have probably been switching out their full drinks for the girls’ empties all night. They all seem to want to drive to different destinations and, not surprisingly, the bee girl ...

Being a stripper here in Las Vegas always has its perks, for sure. Sure, you make decent money while dancing for parties and what-have-you, but there are the other over-looked perks, too, such as becoming an expert previewer of every high-end hotel suite in Las Vegas! When you think about it, out-call strippers see more hotels than just about anyone else around! Last Saturday night was one good example of that… A good friend of mine gave me a heads up on a bachelor party who was asking for some girls to come by and dance at their room at the Palms Hotel. I got a second girl lined up to go with me and we made our way over to the Palms around 2am. The new Fantasy Tower there ...

Being a hardcore, dyed-in-the-wool poker player at heart myself, of the stories I’ve heard come out of the World Series of Poker this year, there is only one that speaks of pure dedication to such a noble cause as the game of life we know as “poker” and could earn my vote for Poker Player of the Year… Paul Clark’s story. Here is a guy – a professional player – who takes the game so seriously that while he’s in competition for the title of Razz World Champion – final table, no less – has suffered multiple mini-strokes and refuses to leave the game to seek medical treatment. I’ve only heard similar tales dating back to the old school road gambler days… like way back there to the times of ...

“You’re a cool guy,” the two drunk people in the back seat of my cab have decided. I think they’re right. Even if I didn’t, it seems so obvious to them from their current altered state that I’d have to give it some serious thought. They seem sincere for some reason – not at all like those other drunk people that I’ve encountered. Maybe it’s because they have a coolness about them – a certain Fonzitude, if you will – and if these guys are cool, they should definitely know, right? Moments before, the guy – let’s call him Mike – was trying to get me to confirm the hotness of his girlfriend. I tell him that I’d turn around and look if I wasn’t afraid that I’d run into ...
