Only in Las Vegas, Nevada, would you see a man’s privates in public before dinnertime, and if you did happen to see said man’s now public privates, there’s a good chance it would be on Tropicana Boulevard.

A few weeks ago I was driving down Tropicana from the office of a service that offers “strippers to your room” when on the opposite side of the road, I saw a man in his fifties with only sweatpants on and his shirt laying on the ground. Reluctantly standing next to this guy was a man who picks up the trash for the Wild Wild West Casino and Truck Stop who was trying to do his job of emptying out the trash barrels along the road and parking lot of the property.

New Year, New Information Architecture

The holidays really have had me missing in action ’round here. I spent three weeks in Texas during Christmas. I was back for one week and then I was gone again for another eight or nine days on my big ski trip. Now I am back and can continue the big project to rebuild this site from the ground up, which we’ve been working on for several months now.

WordPress, the underlying software that the site runs on, has undergone some fundamental changes in the way it handles site architecture, categories, tags, and that sort of thing.

The Reputation of the Desert

It’s so hot in the desert! And the other, slightly less popular – It’s so cold in the desert! Right now, it’s anything but hot. The fountain in the entrance to my neighborhood looked like a chandelier made of ice! Really neat-looking… Last night it was said to be 29 degrees. Tonight it should best that temperature by at least another degree or so.

The desert is an amazing place, for it’s extremes and it’s unique beauty.
