48 Hours Off the Las Vegas Grid
Whew. I’m half-way back to “normal” – normal for me at least
Thursday night we had several stops we wanted to make. After playing some poker and earning a quick couple’a bucks, we headed for Tryst (at Wynn) where we met up with some friends and skirted a pretty crazy line at the door. (The door staff and hosts at Tryst always seem to be good about taking care of locals once you get to know them, in my experience.) Not only was CES winding down and AVN’s porn convention going on, it was also Tryst’s one year anniversary party. The crowd was incredible – what a gorgeously naughty group of people!

Thursday Night in the Porno Wonderland That is Las Vegas
Tonight I’m going to be catching some parties and after-parties associated with the Adult Entertainment Expo. The crew of usual suspects will be starting off at Tryst at the Wynn Resort and progressing across town, in all likelihood stopping through a party going on at Minxx. It’s Consumer Electronics Show / Adult Video News’ Adult Video Awards and Adult Entertainment Expo (aka the “porn convention”) week.

That having been said, I personally felt like banning smoking in all public places in Nevada that served food and were not casinos – an outright ban, mind you, not a non-smoking dining area – was just a bad idea. People who visit here tend to be completely caught up in the spectacle that is the Las Vegas resort corridor/Las Vegas Strip area, and really aren’t privy to the other areas of the gaming industry that live and thrive here in the Valley – an industry that is very much a part of the Las Vegas lifestyle for many people.
