Last Night at Revolution Lounge

Last night my buddy Alex who is on staff over at Revolution Lounge called me doing some new promotions for the club and asked us to come out. We went in about 12:30 and it was pretty slow for a Wednesday, but this has been a bit of a strange week as far as traffic goes.

The place is neat-o. The entry way is a series of three dimensional letters that say, well, “Revolution.” You just walk right through the letters like you’re on Zoom from PBS back in the day. Very interesting entrance, this one, and I always appreciate things like that because it sets a vibe for the rest of the night (this is one big reason why bouncers with attitudes and unbelievably long lines make for sucky nights when clubbing.)

My friend Christopher Nolan has said some funny stuff about Michael Jackson in the past, what with all of his seemingly out-of-this-world ideas, eccentricities, et cetera (to say nothing about allowing himself to be too close to scandals and people taking pop-shots at him because he’s an easy target.) In a funny-serious sounding voice, he’ll posit in the form of a question, “What’s wrong with Mikie???
