The story of the actual party is for anyone brave enough to tell it. This came later:

It’s probably about four in the morning and I’m sitting at the bar in The Artisan Hotel off the Strip in Las Vegas with a self-proclaimed stripper and some guy that I just met a few hours ago. The girl says, “Seriously, my tits are fake. Look – you can see the scars.” She pulls herself almost completely out of her top to show me. The guy is on a mission to acquire some girl for what’s left of the night and the girl that I’m talking to doesn’t seem to be his flavor.

This English guy has been talking about how much trouble he’s going to be in during the entire trip to his hotel. The entire trip to his hotel…from the strip club. The three remaining passengers offer to go up to his room, wake the sleeping wife and help fabricate a believable story, but, for some strange reason, he politely declines their generosity.

The World Series of Poker’s Main Event – the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament that bears the title of World Champion – kicks off today with the first of four “Day One’s.” There are so many players in this monster of a tournament nowadays that they simply can not hope to fit them all into one space on the same day so they just break it down into multiple first days.

Having been open for well over a month, last night I finally ventured out with my friend Christopher Nolan to LAX to take a look around Las Vegas’ newest superclub. I’ve heard good things, but I’ve been really busy as of late, and in general I tend to avoid club openings and the celebrity worshipping madness that takes place around such things. Most importantly, though, I really just enjoy partying at a club once it has a real solid weekly night of good music and dancing and has some recognizable faces in the crowd.
