There’s a girl throwing up on the floor in the back of my taxi, but the guy with her assures me that it’s no big deal because she doesn’t have anything else left in her stomach. “It’s just a little water,” he tells me. I’ve never kicked a person out of my cab and I’ve never made a customer clean up their own vomit, but I’m pretty sure that if he’s wrong I will unfortunately only be able to choose one of these options.

Artisan Hotel - Deluxe RoomMany important people come to visit The Artisan Hotel just to feel that euphoric-yet-naughty sensation they once felt in the past. Recently during a very, very busy day shift, I spotted an impressive looking female in her late thirties waiting for my approach at the hotel bar to serve her. [Editor's Note: Bree, our newest guest writer, is a bartender at The Artisan Hotel.] There was no one else in the bar except her when I ran in from the madhouse of guests in the dining room and lobby. I found out she was one of the top managers for one of the main hotels in the city, but I will not say her name nor her hotel, for she may be either quite embarrassed (or proud) of the story.

Las Vegas’ McCarran Airport Now Has Free Wi-Fi

A lot of people have complained over the past couple of years that Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport does not have free Wi-Fi connections for laptops computers, iPods and iPhones, et cetera.  I’ve personally felt a bit nonplussed about these gripes, because while a few airports do offer free Wi-Fi connections, many, many airports around the world charge, and charge through the nose, at that.

Las Vegas Bike Fest

This time each year, soon after the weather has changed and it’s just so damned nice you want to be outside all of the time, Las Vegas Bike Fest hits town and no matter where you go you see an unusual number of bikes on the prowl around town. I’ve never really gone down to the shows to check them out, although I’ve always admired a sexy-looking chopper, myself.

The Las Vegas Bike Fest is apparently a somewhat diffuse event, with different parts of it spread out over town.
