What we do here on “While Las Vegas Sleeps…” is share stories and anecdotes and blog about all things Las Vegas, from the viewpoints of people living and working here in Sin City. To make it interesting, some of my friends that write do various jobs around town and so they write from the perspective of not only who they are but also what they do, because let’s face it, doing one kind of work in one random city versus doing the same job in Las Vegas are two completely different things!
First of all, there was me, Christopher
I started the blog as something of a creative outlet to try and get my old writing chops and creative juices flowing again. At first, the blog was just me. It still is mostly me, but I’ve had a few guest bloggers and I’m looking to find a few more really interesting ones to write for us semi-regularly. If you think that sounds like you and you have a funny, entertaining, or plain old naughty job even, and you don’t mind writing some things down to share with the world, please email me!
And then there was Nick the Cabbie
Nick is an old friend of mine from back in Texas that moved out to Las Vegas a few years ago and got a job as a taxicab driver as part one of a two-part plan. Step one was quick employment. Step two was experiencing driving a cab in Las Vegas so he could pick up some interesting experiences to possibly draw from as an aspiring screen writer. As it turned out, I hounded him to start blogging on “While Las Vegas Sleeps…” about his “taxicab confessions” type experiences to entertainment my readers and to give him some writing work and I do believe the plan has worked, thus far!
Then there were three: Summer the Stripper
As you can imagine, it’s occasionally necessary in Sin City to change a few names to protect the guilty, as is the case with our close personal friend Summer. Or “Summer,” I should say. She writes occasionally about her fun and profit taking it all off in Las Vegas as a stripper. I can’t tell you her real name but I can promise you her lap dances are second to none. She has this one bachelor party trick with a $20 bill where she… oh, never mind… that’s probably a story for her to share. She’s also a smart, educated girl in real life that has something to say. Go Summer!
Bree the Bartender
Bree has only written for us once so far but as a bartender, or should I say “bartendress” I know she has a ton of stories to share. Bree, when are you going to write for us again??
It’s Your Turn
Do you live in Las Vegas and have an entertaining job with lots of stories to share? Well share them with us! Email me! I can get you set up with an account on the site and help you post, et cetera. Vegas, baby!
