Planet Hollywood – Drinks On The House!
I don’t normally write to specifically plug places unless I really believe in what I’m writing and I never, ever get paid to do so. This is no different, but I really felt like this is a deal worth blogging about that they have going on over at Planet Hollywood.. …or as we locals will forever know it due to a signage malfunction while it was being redesigned: Planet Ho.
The way it works is really simple and really sweet. Book a stay at Planet Hollywood and for every night you stay you get a voucher for a free bottle of alcohol. That’s it. No point systems. No looking around for cocktail waitresses – not even any going by a liquor store in a cab to try and save a few bucks. Just pick it up in the casino boutique with your voucher… Once a day, every day. Now that’s Vegas, baby!
Just throwing this out there to the powers that be over at Planet Hollywood… Recession or not, this beautiful little program is just good business. Lower labor costs running drinks that are going to be free and potentially less effective down in the casino, among other things. I say, hell.. Get ‘em nice and lubricated up in the their rooms and they aren’t likely to wander much further than the casino down below! I can’t believe that casinos hadn’t thought of this little gem of a long time ago even in boom years. The players get plenty to drink, they are having a great time, and they feel like they got treated like something of a special individual. The casino gets to be happy, as well. There’s something very, very powerful about that word – Free – and Las Vegas, at one time at least, used to own it. It’s about damned time we brought it back. Congratulations, Planet Hollywood, on giving the people something they want: a little value for their gambling dollars.
Oh.. did I mention that Holly Madison is not only doing a show that I haven’t had the privilege of seeing yet at Planet Hollywood called “Peepshow” but she’s also the spokes model for the “Planet Hollywood – Drinks are on us!” campaign? Yay for yummy-cute billboards!

This is a great idea. Most people get their drinks ahead of time anyway, especially if they don’t gamble.
It’s a good enough offer to get someone like me, who doesn’t drink too often, to have a few extra.
