Looking for Las Vegas Writers September 7

“While Las Vegas Sleeps…” has always been about stories about Las Vegas, from the very beginning. It always will be. It’s not just about hearsay or conjecture. It’s about personal mileage. The way I live my life, well, I’m something of a student of Hunter S. Thompson’s gonzo journalism philosophy of telling stories: Go where the story is, interact with it on its terms, and become the story.

We’re in the middle of a redesign of the site that I’ve been planning for some time - it has been long-coming, due to my need to remediate myself in the ways of modern web design. I’ve been promising this for over a year, I realize, but the fact is, every time I’ve learned something that I needed to to make it happen, I then learn that there are two more things I need to learn as well. I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, though!

My plans for the site include more Las Vegas stories. So far, we have Nick the Cabbie, Summer the Stripper, and now we’re adding Dottie the Dealer to our list of recurring writer personalities, but we don’t want to stop there…

Maybe you’re Ralph the Racing Form Analyst or Sarah the Stewardess…. Leo the Limo Driver or Mike the Mob Hit Man. Haley the Hooker? Who knows? It’s Vegas! You don’t even have to sign on as a recurring writer personality.. maybe you just have one funny story you would like to share - awesome! Don’t worry about a need for writing help - that’s no problem at all. I spend time editing each post and attaching photos and links, et cetera. You can do this! Also, did I mention there’s some pay? How much is variable depending on how many words, who you are, if you’re willing to write regularly, et cetera. Anyhow, I will at least make it worth your time.

If none of this applies to you, it should. If you’re living in or visiting Las Vegas, this is the kind of entertainment people really like… real stories of the most unreal city on Earth. Las Vegas, baby! Get out there, debauch yourself tonight, and make some stories happen!
