World Series of Poker - A Special Las Vegas VIP Party

Artisan King SuiteThe World Series of Poker’s Main Event - the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament that bears the title of World Champion - kicks off today with the first of four “Day One’s.” There are so many players in this monster of a tournament nowadays that they simply can not hope to fit them all into one space on the same day so they just break it down into multiple first days.

A tournament this huge generates a lot of stress and strain and just making it through the first day is a huge accomplishment unto itself. With that in mind, Dorothy Kamaka, Las Vegas local poker player, card dealer, and all-around sweetheart, has put together - along with a little help from her friends - an event to cater to the WSOP players that survive Day One.

On Monday - the only day that the players have off during the Main Event at the World Series of Poker - there will be a special VIP party going on at The Artisan Hotel - a sweet little boutique hotel sort of place that is filled on the walls, floors, and, yes, even the ceilings, with prints of classic paintings and works of art. There’s a great bar, outdoor pool area with garden-style cabanas, awesome suites, and more.

There will be some nice, groovy beats, bottle service will be on offer, and they are providing a free massage therapist for your relaxation needs… (poker’s hard work, yo!)

This is happening Monday night 6pm until 12am (WSOP starts early Tuesday.)
