Shady Dealings With Local Web Developer April 26
I’ve recently had to endure some unbelievably bad experiences with a web developer I hired for a web project I’ve been planning for some time. The guy claimed to be able to move mountains with PHP and MySQL, but I don’t think he moved his finger twice in two weeks to work on the project. Today he says he thinks he’s changed his mind and is just going to “refund my money” - this is after wasting my time, money, energy, and nerves.
You wouldn’t believe the nerve of this individual if I told told you half of the story, but let’s just suffice it to say that with his unimaginable attitude and demeanor, I think he is going to find himself having a tough time getting along well in the business community here in Las Vegas. He’d be better off to cut his losses quickly and move back to where he came from. This town is too small to screw people around like this and expect to get away with it. …And to think I was the guy’s first client in Las Vegas.
If anyone reading my blog has a web project and is considering hiring a developer, please let me know who you are considering and I will let you know if it is this guy or not. I’m not going to post a link to his website on here because that would only help drive traffic to him through Google by my blog linking to him. Just be wary of hiring developers and email me personally if you are considering doing so.
Lastly… if anyone knows a good web developer skilled in PHP, MySQL, and preferably experienced with Gallery2 and Drupal, please let know who they are and how to get a hold of them.
Mama said there’d be days like this…

I feel your pain on this one.
Being a web designer means I’m utterly unskilled in any hard code or database work. I was at the mercy of an outside developer when the shopping cart was designed into my commerce site. ugh.
It’s worse than trying to find a reputable painting contractor.
Wait! An a new oxymoron is born.
